Mike Frost And The Ice Men

Hot band - cool blues!

For traditional electric blues, Australian guitar and harmonica-led quartet Mike Frost & the Icemen can't be beaten!

Formed by singer/guitarist Mike Frost in 1999, the band specialises in vintage blues, swing and R&B, taking the influences of the Chicago blues of Muddy Waters, the jump blues of T-Bone Walker and the sophisticated stylings of BB King and adapting them with original local themes which reflecttheir easy-going Australian lifestyle.

The four-piece lineup features Mike Frost on vocals and guitar, Mark Doherty on harmonica and vocals, Tom Matthews on bass and backing vocals, and Greg Baikaloff on drums.

These guys are festival favourites, with repeat performances at Blues On Broadbeach, Sunshine Coast Bluesfest and the Gympie Muster.  Don't miss them!

The band's five-track CD ‘Live at the Diesel Room’ offers a great sample of the band's current musical focus.
