Mark Lockett Paul Van Ross Quartet

Talented drummer and composer Mark Lockett and powerhouse saxophonist/composer Paul Van Ross co-lead one of the most exciting ensembles currently on the Melbourne jazz scene. They collaborate with Mark Fitzgibbon (piano) and Michael Story (acoustic bass) on this special concert series, performing original compositions by both Lockett and Van Ross.

Credits include four successful tours to New Zealand and two CDs including Lockett's debut album ‘About Time' (Move Records) and ‘Mark Lockett Paul Van Ross Live At Spleen' (Newmarket Music).

Both have studied extensively in New York with jazz legends such as George Garzone, George Coleman, Joe Morello, Ari Hoenig to name a few.

This ensemble promises to deliver a performance not to be missed.
