Late 88 were formed in 2007. They started out as a group of friends jamming together and have now developed a sound they can call their own. Late 88 have played all over Wanaka in various bars and parties. Leaving a positive impression on all who have had the privilege of hearing them play. Like any band, they have had their share of teething problems with bass players etc. Finally they met Joel Slijkerman who has been with the band since 2008. He has proven to be a big asset to the band with bass lines that fit perfectly!

The most recent addition to the band is guitarist & singer Jayden Taylor who now joins them permanently from Mount Maunganui. Previously being front man for Sneaky Deep ( a rock reggae band ) he brings extra flavour & fullness to their sound.

All the band members have had different music influences, which makes their sound unique and interesting. Late 88 band line up for 2009 is: Jana Carnie - Lead Vocalist, Jason Millar - Guitar & BV's, Jayden Taylor - Guitar & BV's, Joel Slijkerman - Bass, Josiah Carnie - Keys, Carl Bogue - Drums, Dan Peters - Sound Man.

Late 88 has a full rock, funk and electronic sound. Completed by Jana's deep soulful voice. With six members in this band giving their all to entertain, checking them out is a must!
