"JUMPSTART" The NZONE Emerging Talent Competition

Age Group 18-25

The ASB Queenstown JazzFest invites contestants to enter the Emerging Talent Awards brought to you by NZONE - The Ultimate Jump and proudly supported by Creative Queenstown and The Edge Radio.

This Competition is open Nationwide to competitors aged 18 to 25, professionals and amateurs alike. Any instrument, any song - so long as it's Jazz.

The 2009 competition has Two Categories:

Solo Vocal
Solo Instrumental

Up to 12 finalists will be selected from a preliminary round conducted via DVD or "youtube" submissions. 

Contestants have until 5pm Sunday 11th October to register.

Entries MUST be received by 5:00pm Sunday 11th October to be eligible for the competition.

If selected, you will perform in front of Judges on Sunday 25th October at the Millenium Hotel, Queenstown.

Prizes in each category:

First:
$1000 plus one NZONE skydive

Second:
$400 plus one NZONE skydive

Third:
one NZONE skydive

All finalists will be provided with one free entry to a workshop, forum, or masterclass of their choice from th ASB JazzFest 2009 Development Programme to be held over the weekend 24th and 25th October 2009.
