Harvey Maguire Trio

Harvey Maguire (piano) is former Musical Director of the Jazz Festival since it’s beginning in 1978 and former “Alberts Nightclub” owner. In the past Harvey has recorded radio programs with Radio New Zealand’s Concert Program and also appeared in many venues in Christchurch, Dunedin, Invercargill and Queenstown. Dale Gold (double bass) comes from New York emigrating to New Zealand to take up the role of principal bass player with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, he has since taken up early retirement with his partner Georga a former bass player herself with the NZS/orchestra and they now live in Arrowtown. Ivan Hamilton (drummer) has been involved with music all of his life, initially as a rock drummer and latterly moving into the jazz idiom. Ivan has also been involved performing on Luxury cruise ships over several seasons in the Mediterranean and the east coast of the USA. He also doubles on vocals specializing in Ray Charles covers.
