Di Bird and her band are icons of the Australian jazz scene and continue to excite crowds wherever they perform with their potent mix of swing classics, latin and blues.

The band kicked off 2008 by playing with noted jazz greats Al Herman (trombone-USA) and Bob Montgomery (trumpet-USA) at the Sydney French Jazz Festival.

In March Di performed at Melbourne’s Bennett’s Lane Jazz Club before taking the band on tour throughout Tasmania.

Di has put together a number of jazz shows which she has taken on tour in New South Wales. Taking with her only the best of Australia’s musicians and performing with a wisdom and wit that captures her audiences, her rural tours have seen her successfully build a new fan base.

Adding new and exciting arrangements that showcase her warmth of tone and lyrical interpretation of the song, Di is now recording her third album.
